This Privacy Policy explains what SubmitSmarter does, what information it processes, why Chrome permissions are requested, which third parties help operate the service, and the choices available to users.
What SubmitSmarter Does
SubmitSmarter is a Chrome extension for actors using casting platforms such as Actors Access, and in the future Backstage and Casting Networks. It adds AI-assisted search and automatic material pre-selection inside supported casting workflows so users can review opportunities faster and submit more efficiently.
SubmitSmarter is designed to assist with discovery and pre-fill steps. It does not submit materials without the user taking the final action on the casting platform.
What Data We Process
SubmitSmarter does not collect, store, or receive your casting materials or casting-page content.
The extension runs in your browser on supported casting sites. To function, it reads page content in the browser at the moment you use it, but that does not mean SubmitSmarter receives or stores that content. For example, the extension may detect available headshots, reels, size cards, breakdown details, or form fields on the page so it can help you faster, but those materials are not collected by SubmitSmarter.
The main categories of data relevant to this policy are:
- Website waitlist data you choose to submit, such as your email address, which is handled by Mailchimp.
- Payment and transaction data, if paid plans are offered, which is handled by the payment processor. SubmitSmarter does not need to store full payment card numbers.
Why Each Permission Is Needed

| Optional host permissions for future supported platforms | Needed only to extend the same functionality to additional casting sites such as Backstage or Casting Networks when support is launched. |
How We Use Information
- Provide AI-assisted search and ranking for casting opportunities.
- Enable automatic material pre-selection inside supported submission flows.
- Communicate with users who sign up for updates or support.
- Process subscription or purchase transactions if paid features are offered.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
For clarity, this functionality does not mean SubmitSmarter collects your headshots, reels, size cards, or other casting materials.
Third Parties: AI, Payments, Hosting, and Communications
SubmitSmarter may rely on third-party service providers to operate the product. Where those providers are involved, the intent remains the same: SubmitSmarter does not present itself as collecting or storing your casting materials or casting-page content.
- AI providers: used to interpret search prompts, classify casting opportunities, or power other AI-assisted features.
- Payment processors: used to process purchases, subscriptions, and related billing operations if paid plans are offered.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: used to host the website, backend services, storage, logging, and security tools.
- Email and communications providers: Mailchimp is used for the website waitlist and launch updates.
Third-party providers may have their own privacy terms and security practices. SubmitSmarter does not control the privacy practices of supported casting platforms or other sites you visit.
Retention
Because SubmitSmarter does not collect or store casting-page content, casting materials, or extension search inputs for retention, there is generally no retention of that extension data by SubmitSmarter.
- Website waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or we no longer need the list.
- Billing records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, and compliance purposes.
Your Choices
- You can uninstall the extension at any time through Chrome.
- You can remove locally stored extension data by clearing the extension's data or browser storage, where applicable.
- You can stop marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
- You can limit or deny optional permissions through Chrome settings, though some features may stop working.
Children's Privacy
SubmitSmarter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
